Answer-

13.\ \ x=-\frac{1}{2}

14.

Number of 100 rupees note = 2000

Number of 50 rupees note  = 3000

Number of 10 rupees note   = 5000

Solution-

13.

Let the rational number be x,

According to the question,

\Rightarrow (x\times \frac{5}{2})+\frac{2}{3} =-\frac{7}{12}

\Rightarrow x\times \frac{5}{2}=-\frac{7}{12}-\frac{2}{3}

\Rightarrow x\times \frac{5}{2}=-\frac{15}{12}

\Rightarrow x=-\frac{15}{12}\times \frac{2}{5}

\Rightarrow x=-\frac{3}{6}

\Rightarrow x=-\frac{1}{2}

14.

The ratio of rupees 100, 50, 10 notes is 2:3:5 and the total amount sums up to rupees 400,000

So,

\Rightarrow (100\times 2x)+(50\times 3x)+(10\times 5x)=400000

\Rightarrow 200x+150x+50x=400000

\Rightarrow 400x=400000

\Rightarrow x=\frac{400000}{400}

\Rightarrow x=1000

Therefore,

number of 100 rupees note = 2×1000 = 2000,

number of 50 rupees note  = 3×1000 = 3000,

number of 10 rupees note   = 5×1000 = 5000,
