heya...!!!

let 1/√x = p

1/√y = q

now,

2p + 3q = 2-------(1)

4p - 9q = -1-------(2)

now from --(1) AND --(2)
multiply by (2) in ---(1)

we get,

4p + 6q = 4
4p - 9q = -1
(-)___(+)___(+)
————————
15q = 5

=> q = 1/3 put in --(1)

we get,

2p + 3/3 = 2

=> 2p = 2 - 1

=> p = 1/2

=> 1/√x = 1/2

=> √x = 2

=> x = 4

AND,

q = 1/√y = 13

=> √y = 3

=> y = 9

Hii friend,

2/✓X + 3/✓Y= 2........(1)

4/✓X - 9/✓Y = -1.......(2)

Let , 1/✓X = U and 1/✓Y =V.

Then equation (1) and (2) becomes,

2U + 3V = 2......(3)

4U - 9V = -1........(4)

FROM EQUATION (3) WE GET,

2U +3V = 2

2U = 2-3V

U = 2-3V/2......(5)

Putting the value of U in equation (4)

4U - 9V = -1

4 × (2-3V/2) - 9V = -1

2(2-3V) - 9V = -1

4 -6V - 9V = -1

4-15V = -1

-15V = -1-4

-15V = -5

V = -5/-15

V = 1/3

Putting the value of V in equation (5)

U = 2-3V/2

U = 2-3×1/3÷2

U = 2-1/2

U = 1/2

Therefore,

1/✓X = U

1/✓X = 1/2

✓X = 2

X = 4

And,

1/✓Y = V

1/✓Y = 1/3

✓Y = 3

Y = 9

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.... :-)

Ramanujmani: sorry for disturbance
Ramanujmani: kindl check just below the Equation--()
Ramanujmani: 4u - 9v = 1 not 4u - 9v = -1
Ramanujmani: see equation 4
Ramanujmani: u wrote 4u - 9v = 1
Ramanujmani: oops sorry
Ramanujmani: my mistake
