diagonal=12cm
side=?
in square
s²+s²=d²
s²+s²=12²
2s²=144
s²=72
s=6root2
perimeter of square=4s
=4×6root2
=24root2

let the side be x
now by using Pythagoras theorm
x sq.+xsq.=12 sq.
2x sq.=144
x sq.=144/2
x=√72

so perimeter is 4√72.
