\dfrac{2x + 1}{3x + 5} = \dfrac{11}{20}

Cross multiply

☛ 20(2x + 1) = 11(3x + 5)

Open the brackets

☛ 40x + 20 = 33x + 55

Move the like terms

☛ 40x - 33x = 55 - 20

Subtract

☛ 7x = 35

Divide both the sides by 7

☛ x = 5

∴ The value of x is \pink{\boxed{\pink{\boxed{\red{5}}}}}
