6x+4=12x-96

100=6x

x=100/6

x=16.66

2x/4 + 1/3 = x - 8

(6x + 4)/12 = x - 8

6x + 4 = 12x - 96

6x - 12x = - 96 - 4

- 6x = - 100

x = 100/6

x = 50/3
