Solution:

2y + 5/3 = 26/3 - y

Add y both sides of the equation,we get

=> 2y + y + 5/3 = 26/3 -y +y

=> 3y +5/3 = 26/3

subtract 5/3 both sides of the equation, we get

=> 3y + 5/3 -5/3 = 26/3 -5/3

=> 3y = 21/3

=> 3y = 7

Divide each term by 3 ,we get

=> y = 7/3

Therefore,

y = 7/3
