so,

3x - 2y = 11 -----> (1)

2x - 3y = 3 ------> (2)

lxm for the constants of variable x is = lcm(2,3) = 6

multiply equation (1) by 2 and (2) by 3

result is

6x - 4y = 22 ------>(3)

6x - 9y = 9 ----> (4)

sub (4) from (3)

9y -4y = 22 -9

5y = 13

y=13/5

subs titue the value of y in eq (1)

x= 81/ 15

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We form two simultaneous equations as follows:

3x + 2y = 11......................i)

2x - 3y = 3 .......................ii)

We can eliminate x by following the steps below:

1) Multiply i by 2 and ii by 3.

2) subtract ii from i to get an equation.

3) Get the value of y.

Applying the steps we have :

1) 6x + 4y = 22

  6x - 9y = 9

2) 13y = 13

y = 1

From this we can get the value of x also.

3x + 2(1) = 11

3x + 2 = 11

3x = 11 - 2

3x = 9

x = 9/3

x = 3

The values of x and y are :

x = 3

y = 1
