( x - 2 ) ( 3x + 4 ) = 0

or , x - 2 = 0

x = 2

Neither , 3x + 4 = 0

3x = - 4

x = - 4 / 3

3x²-6x+4x-8=0

3x(x-2)+4(x-2)=0

(3x+4)(x-2)=0

then, either

(3x+4)=0

x= -4/3

OR

(x-2)=0

x=2
