3x2 -5x-12=0

sum=-5

so the nos are -9 and 4

so 3x2-9x+4x-12=0

3x(x-3)4(x-3)

x-3 and 3x+4

Answer: 3 and -4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

I solve this kind of problems by short tricks...

Step:1. Write equation in the form I write,

3x² –(a–b)x – 12... [a and b are the numbers which on multiplication give you 36(i.e. 12 x 3) and on subtraction give you 5(i.e. given in question before)]

Step-2: You got the numbers are 9 and 4 [ 9-4 = 5 and 9 x 4 = 36 ]

Now, remaining answer is inside the attachment ( i.e. pictures)
