Answer:

x=16/51. y= -226/153

Step-by-step explanation:

3y/2-5x/3=-2 ---------- equation(1)

y/3+x/3=13/6---------- equation (2)

let's consider 1st equation

3y/2-5x/3=-2

(6y-10x)/6=-2

6y-10x=-12

6y=10x-12

y=(10x-12)/6---------- equation (3)

now substitute equation (3) in equation (2)

y/3+x/3=13/6

(y+x)/3=13/6

y+x=39/6

y+x=13/2

now place equation (3) in the place of y

(10x-12)/6+x=13/2

(10x-12+6x)/6=13/2

10x-12+6x=78/2

16x-12=39

16x=39+12

16x=51

x=16/51

now substitute x=16/51 in equation (1)

3y/2-5x/3=-2

(6y-10x)/6=-2

6y-10x=-12

6y=10x-12

now place 16/51 in the place of x

6y=10(16/51)-12

6y=160/51-12

6y=(640-2448)/204

6y=-1808/204

y=-1808/(204×6)

y=-1808/1224

y=-226/153

hope this helps you
