five cards 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5

total no of possibility out come into this
=(1, 2) , (1 ,3) (1, 4) (1, 5) (2, 1) (2, 3), (2, 4)
(2 ,5) (3, 1) (3, 2) (3 , 4) (3, 5) (4, 1), (4, 2) (4,3) (4, 5) (5, 1) (5, 2) (5, 3) (5, 4)
=20 .
here only two cards eject so,
n(E) =2
n(S) =20
probability= n(E)/n(S) =2/20 = 1/10

second method,
here you can you if total n cards exist . we have to choose 2 cards
then , use formula,
n(n -1)

here n = 5
so, total number of events =5 ×4 =20
