let \:  \:  \frac{4x - 3}{2x + 1}  = y \\ then \: the \: equation \: becomes \\ y -  \frac{10}{y}  = 3 \\  {y}^{2}  - 3y - 10 = 0 \\ (y - 5)(y + 2) = 0 \\ y = 5 \:  \: or \:  \:  - 2

when \: y = 5 \\ \frac{4x - 3}{2x + 1}  =  5 \\ 4x - 3 = 10x + 5 \\ 6x =  - 8 \\ x =  \frac{ - 4}{3}

when \: y =  - 2 \\ \frac{4x - 3}{2x + 1}  = - 2 \\ 4x - 3 =  - 4x - 2 \\ 8x = 1 \\ x =  \frac{1}{8}
