 {2}^{x + 2} + {2}^{x - 1} = 9 \\ {2}^{x} . {2}^{2} + {2}^{x} . {2}^{ - 1} = 9 \\ {2}^{x} ( {2}^{2} + {2}^{ - 1} ) = 9 \\ {2}^{x} (4 + \frac{1}{2} ) = 9 \\ {2}^{x} ( \frac{9}{2} ) = 9 \\ {2}^{x} = 9 \times \frac{2}{9} \\ {2}^{x} = 2 \\ x = 1
