the arithmetic mean of a and b is a+b/2
thus,
 a+b/2=a^n+1+b^n+1/A^n+b^n
a+b/2=a^n*a+b^n*b/a^n+b^n\
cross multiply,
and you will find ur answer
as a^n=b^n
so, a & b can only be equal if  n is 0
THEREFORE, n=0
 hope i helped u
