Sol.1. Let the numbers be x and x + 3 (both have difference of 3)

ATQ

Twice the smaller number ( 2x ) + Thrice the greater number [ 3( x + 3)] = 19

∴ 2x + 3( x+ 3) = 19

2x + 3x + 9 = 19

5x = 10

x = 2

∴ first number is 2 and second number is  x + 3 = 5

Sol.3: Quadratic Equation given is 2y² - 7y + 2 = 0

Here a = 2, b = -7, c = 2

We know that Discriminant(D) =  (b)² -4ac

∴ D = ( -7 )² - 4 × 2 × 2

= 49 - 16

= 33

∴ Discriminant of given equation = 33

Nature of Roots

Here D = 33

∵ D > 0,

Roots of given equation will be Real and Distinct (not equal)
