Answer:

1) Term 'Epidermis' means above Dermis. It refers to our skin. It is the outermost layer of skin consists of 5 layers. It act as a waterproof barrier & also a barrier from microbes. The outer layers of Epidermis are dead cells which provides protection from wear & tear.

2) Nuclear membrane is a barrier between Cytoplasm & Nucleoplasm. It allows the movement of substances between cytoplasm and nucleus through nuclear pores. It seperates gene regulation and translation in the nucleus from that in cytoplasm.

Hope it gives you your answer :)

Answer:

1. The outermost layer of cells is called epidermis. The epidermis is usually made of single layer of cells. In some plants living in very dry habitats, the epidermis may be thicker since protection against water loss is critical. The entire surface of a planet has an outer covering epidermis . It protects all the parts of the plant .

2. The nucleus has double layered covering called nuclear membrane. The nuclear membrane has pores which allow the transfer of material from inside the nucleus to its outside, that is, to the cytoplasm.
