Answer:

2x-3y=9

X-Y=4

By using elimination method ,

first we equalise any one varible in both cases

so,

2x-3y=9 equ(1)

but in case of X-Y=4 we multiply it by 3

because to equalise the value of varible Y

so, new value is

(x-y=4)×3

3x-3y=12 equ(2)

Now ,

Subtract equation (2) from equation (1)

2x-3y=9 equation (1)

3x-3y=12 equation (2)

- +. - ( sign is change in the case of Subtraction)

2x -3y=9

-3x+3y=-12

therefore -3y+3y=0

left part is

2x-3x=9-12

=) -x=-3

x=3

put the value of x =3 in equation( 2)

X-Y=4

3-y=4

y= -1

correct answer is

x=3

y= -1
