Solve by elimination method:
x+5y=11
2x-3y=9​

Solution :

x+5y=11 ...eq(1)

2x-3y=9 ...eq(2)

Using elemination method-

By multiplying equation-1 from 2, by both sides, we will get:

2x +10y = 22 ...eq(3)

Now, subtract equation-2 from equation-3:

2x+10y-(2x-3y) = 22-(9)

13y = 13

⇒y = 1

Put y = 1 in equation-1,

x+5y=11

x +5=11

x = 11-5

⇒x = 6

Hence, value of x and y is 6 and 1.
