Given Equation is 2x^2 - x - 6 = 0

= > 2x^2 + 3x - 4x - 6 = 0

= > x(2x + 3) - 2(2x + 3) = 0

= > (x - 2)(2x + 3) = 0

= > x = 2, -3/2.

Hope this helps!

Let's factorize

=> 2x² - x - 6 = 0

By middle term splitting method

=> 2x² - 4x + 3x - 6 = 0

=> 2x(x- 2) + 3(x - 2) = 0

=> (x - 2)(2x + 3) = 0

Thus

=> x = 2 or x = - 3/2
