Solve by substitution method 2x-3y=7 and 5x+y=9

y = -1 and x =5 
u have to multiply 5 with first equation and 2 with 2 equation

2x-3y=7-------------1
5x+y=9--------------2
from 1
x=(7+3y)/2
put in 2
5(7+3y)/2+y=9
(35+3y+2y)/2=9
35+5y=18
5y=-17
y=-17/5
x=-8/5-------(putting y in x)
