●Solution●

2x-y=11...........(1)

5x-4y=11.........(2)

From equation (1), we get:

2x=11-y

x=11-y/2

Now, Substituting this value of x in equation (2), we get:

5(11-y/2)-4y = 11

55-5y/2 - 4y = 11

55-5y-8y=11×2

55-12y = 22

-12y = 22-55

-12y = -33

y = 33/12

y = 2.75

Putting the value of y in equation (1), we get:

x = 11 - 2.75 /2

x = 8.25/2

x = 4.125
