solve by substitution method : 3x-y=2 , x+y=-6​

Answer:

3x-y=2....... equation 1

x+y=-6

y=-6-x ........ equation 2

substitute equation 2 in equation 1

3x-(-6-x) =2

3x+6+x=2

4x=2-6

x= -4

x =-1

now put In equation 1

-3-y=2

-y=2+3

-y=5

y=-5
