x + 6y = 27
=> x = 27 - 6y......(1)

put value of x in 7x - 3y = 9

7(27-6y) - 3y =9
=> 189 - 42y -3y =9
=> 180 = 45y
=> y=4

put y=4 in

x= 27-24
x=3...
