Hello mate....

given....

x+y = 10 .....eqn.1

x-y =2......eqn.2

add the both equations 1 and 2

then we get:-

x+y+x-y = 10+2

2x = 12

x = 6

"x" value sub in eqn.1

then we get

6+y = 10

y = 10-6

y = 4

checkingusing values of x = 6 , y = 4 in eqn.1

x+y = 10

6+4 = 10

10 = 10

Hope it helps you.....

subtract \: y \: from \: both \: sides \: of \: the \: equation

x = 10 - y

x - y = 2

Replace all Occurances of x in x-y = 2 with 10-y

x = 10 - y

(10 -y) - y = 2

Subtract y from -y

x = 10 - y

10 - 2y = 2

solve for y in second equation

x = 10 - y

y = 4

Replace all occurances of y in x = 10 - y with 4

x = 10 - (4)

x = 6

y = 4

The solution to the system of equations can be represented as a point.

(6, 4)

The result can be shown in multiple forms.

Point Form:

(6, 4 )

Equation Form

x= 6 , y =4

HOPE THIS WILL HLP U!!
