Answer:

x = 15 and y= -10

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+3y=0

∴ x= -3y/2  ..... eqn 1

3x+4y=5

Substituting the value of x from eqn 1, we get

3( -3y/2) + 4y=5

-9y/2 + 4y=5

Multiplying both sides by 2, we get

-9y + 8y = 10

∴ -y=10 or y= -10 ......eqn 2

Substituting the value of y in eqn 1, we get

x= -3(-10)/2

x = 15

CHECK

2x+3y=2(15)+3(-10)

=30-30 = 0 = RHS

3x+4y=3(15)+4(-10)

45-40 = 5 = RHS
