Hi friend,

Here is your answer,

By applying suitable identity :-

97 = 100-3
So, We can write 97² as:
(100-3)²
100² +3² - 2*3*100
10000 + 9 - 600
9409

Hi !!!

This is your answer.....

Given :-
97².........

We have to solve it using an identity....

So, ......

97² = (100 - 3)²...... .....(i).

Now, it is of the form (a-b)².....
Using, (a-b)² = (a² + b² - 2ab). .....(ii).

Comparing equation (i) and (ii)...
a = 100. and b = 3.

So,

97²
= > (100 - 3)² = {100² + 3² - 2 (100)(3)}
= > 10000 - 600 + 9
= > 9400 + 9
= > 9409.

Hope you got the right answer....
