Question :

Calculate the molecular mass of 1) water molecule. 2) Sulphur dioxide 3) sulphuric acid. 4) glucose.

Solution :

1) Molecular mass of water molecule = H2O =

(2×1u)+(1×16u)

= 18 u

2) Molecular mass of = Sulphur dioxide= SO2 = (1×32u)+(2×16u) = 64 u

3) Molecular mass of Sulphuric Acid = H2So4 =
(2×1u)+(1×32u)+(4×16u) = 98 u

4) Molecular mass of Glucose = C6H12O6 = (6×12u)+(12×1u)(6×16u) = 180 u

______Heyy Buddy ❤_______

______Here's your Answer ________

☆ Water = H2O

=> [(2 × 1) + ( 1 × 16)] u

=> (2 + 16) u

=> 18u.

☆ Sulphur Dioxide = SO2.

=> [ ( 1 × 32) + (2× 16)] u

=> ( 32 + 32) u

=> 64u.

☆ Sulphuric Acid = H2SO4.

=> [ (2×1) + ( 1 × 32) + ( 4 × 16) ] u

=> 98u.

☆ Glucose = C6H12O6.

=> [ ( 6 × 12) + ( 12 × 1) + (6×16)] u

=> 180u.
