Given  \frac{3}{x} -  \frac{6}{x+1} = 2

On cross multiplication, we get

3(x + 1) - 6x = 2x(x + 1)

3x + 3 - 6x = 2x^2 + 2x

3 - 3x = 2x^2 + 2x

2x^2 + 2x - 3 = -3x

2x^2 + 2x + 3x - 3 = 0

2x^2 + 5x - 3 = 0

2x^2 - 1x + 6x - 3 = 0

x(2x - 1) + 3(2x - 1) = 0

(2x - 1)(x + 3) = 0

x = 1/2,-3.

Hope this helps!
