15x+10y = -15 (1)

10x +30y = 5 (2)

multiplying equation (1) by 3 ,

we get

45x +30y = -45 (3)

equation (3) - (2) we get,

45x + 30y =-45

- 10x + 30y = 5

---------------------------

35x = -50

x = -50/35

x = -10/7

now, putting values of x in equation (2) we get,

(10) × (10/7) +30y = 5

-100/7 + 30y = 5

30y = 100/7 + 5

30y = 135/7

y = 135/ (7) × (3)

y= 135/210

y = 27/42
