On factoring x² - 7x + 12 = 0 we will get (x - 4) and (x - 3)

Given:

x² - 7x + 12 = 0

To find:

Solve the given equation by factorization method

Solution:

Given x² - 7x + 12 = 0

we can solve the above equation as given below

=> x² - 7x + 12 = 0

Split middle term 7x as - 4x - 3x

=> x² - 4x - 3x + 12 = 0

Take x and 3 common as given below

=> x (x - 4) - 3(x - 4) = 0

Now take (x -4) as common

=>  (x - 4) (x - 3) = 0

Thus,

x² - 7x + 12 =  (x - 4) (x - 3)

Therefore,

On factoring x² - 7x + 12 = 0 we will get (x - 4) and (x - 3)
