Each step of solving the equation is given line by line below.

(x-2)/3 = (x-3)/2
2(x-2) = 3(x-3)
2x-4 = 3x-9
2x-3x = -9+4
-x = -5
x = 5

Hence, x=5

As it is given....
 (x-2)/3 = (x-3)/2
we can cross multiply.....
2(x-2) = 3(x-3)
2x-4 = 3x-9
2x-3x = -9+4
-x = -5
Thus, we cancel the negative signs
x = 5
