The value of f = 4

GIVEN:-

−11f=7(1−2f)+5

TO FIND:- the value of f

SOLUTION:-

  • In mathematics Brackets imply multiplication.
  • LHS= RHS (given)

−11f=7(1−2f)+5 \\ - 11f = (7 \times 1) - (7 \times 2f) + 5 \\ - 11f = 7 - 14f + 5 \\ - 11f = 12 - 14f

When we shift any number or variable from one side to another then the sign changes

14f - 11f = 12 \\ 3f = 12

Dividing both sides by 3

 \frac{3f}{3} = \frac{12}{3} \\ f = 4

Let's Proof

−11f=7(1−2f)+5 \\ - 11 \times 4 = 7(1 - 2 \times 4) + 5 \\ - 44 = 7(1 - 8) + 5 \\ - 44 = 7 \times - 7 + 5 \\ - 44 = - 49 + 5 \\ - 44 = - 44

Hence proved LHS=RHS

Hence, the value of f = 4
