2/x+1 +1/x-1=1
2x-1+x+1/x²-1=1
3x=x²-1

Given: \frac{2}{x+1} +\frac{1}{x-1} =1

To Find: Value of x.

Solution:

\frac{2}{x+1} +\frac{1}{x-1} =1

\frac{2(x-1)+1(x+1)}{(x+1)(x-1)} =1

\frac{2x-2+x+1}{x^{2} -1} =1

⇒ 2x + x - 2 + 1 = x² - 1

⇒ 3x - 1 = x² - 1

⇒ x² - 1 + 1 - 3x= 0

⇒ x² - 3x = 0

⇒ x (x - 3) = 0

∴ x = 0                                         ∴  x - 3 = 0

                                                     ⇒ x = 3

Answer: The valuse of x are 0 and 3.
