\dfrac{4x - 2}{5} - \dfrac{2x - 3}{5} \: = \: -2

Multipling throughout by 5

5 \: \times \: \dfrac{4x - 2}{5} - 5 \: \times \dfrac{2x - 3}{5} \: = \: -2 \times 5

The denominator and 5 written will get cancelled

4x\:-\:3\:-\:(2x\:-\:3)\:=\:-10

Remove the brackets

4x\:-\:3\:-\:2x\:+\:=\:-10

Eliminate the opposites and collect the like terms

2x\:=\:-10

Divide both the sides by 2

x\:=\:-5
