From (1),
√7x = –√13y
x = –√13y / √7
Substituting x ' s value in (2)
√5 ( –√13y / √7 ) + √17y = 0
–√65y + √119y = 0
√54 y = 0
y = 0
Putting y = 0 in (1)
√7x + √13(0) = 0
√7x + 0 = 0
√7x = 0
x = 0
Therefore, the values of x and y are 0 and 0 respectively.

x = –√13y / √7
