let 141x+93y=189 be equation 1 and
93x+144y=45 be equation 2
by elimination method :
eliminate it by x:
(1)×93-(2)×141
13113x+8649y=17577
13113x+19881y=6345
then -11232y=11232
therefore y=-1
put the value of y in equation (1)
141x+93y=189
141x+93(-1)=189
141x-93=189
141x=189+93
141x=282
x=282/141
x=2.
therefore x=2 and y=-1.
hope this helps ^_^
