4/x + 5y = 7 -------------(1)
3/x + 4y = 5 -----------------(2)
multiply in equation (1) with 4 & in equation (2) with 5 and subtract
1/x = 3
x = 1/3
put x = 1/3 in equation (1)
12 + 5y = 7
y = -1
3/x + 4y = 5 -----------------(2)
multiply in equation (1) with 4 & in equation (2) with 5 and subtract
1/x = 3
x = 1/3
put x = 1/3 in equation (1)
12 + 5y = 7
y = -1

4/x + 5y =7------------->1
3/x + 4y =5.------------------->2
multiply equation 1 with 3 and the 2nd equation with 4
then we get
12/x + 15y = 21
12/x + 16y = 20
then subtracting both the above equations we get
-y = 1
⇒y = -1
substituting this in equation 1 we get
4/x + 5(-1) = 7
4/x -5 = 7
4/x = 12
x = 4/12
⇒x= 1/3
therefore x = 1/3 and y = -1
3/x + 4y =5.------------------->2
multiply equation 1 with 3 and the 2nd equation with 4
then we get
12/x + 15y = 21
12/x + 16y = 20
then subtracting both the above equations we get
-y = 1
⇒y = -1
substituting this in equation 1 we get
4/x + 5(-1) = 7
4/x -5 = 7
4/x = 12
x = 4/12
⇒x= 1/3
therefore x = 1/3 and y = -1
