Solve for x and y by using cross multiplication method, 2x+y+6=0,3x-2y-12=0

2x + y + 6 = 0. (×2)

3x - 2y - 12 = 0. (×1)

4x + 2y = -12 ... (1)

3x - 2y = 12 ...(2)

Add both equations:-

x = 0

Put (x = 0) in eq. (2) :-

3×(0) -2y = 12

0 - 2y = 12

-2y = 12

y = 12/-2

Thus,

y = -6
