Answer:

x = 6 and y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: 10x+3y = 75    ....(i)

              6x-5y = 11     ....(ii)

Solution:

On multiplying 5 into (i) and 3 into (ii)

           50x+15y = 375   ....(iii)

             18x-15y = 33    ....(iv)

On adding (iii) and (iv)

      (50x+15y)+(18x-15y) = 375 + 33

=>    50x + 18x +15y -15y = 408

=>                               68x = 408

                                       x = 408/68 = 6

On putting x = 6 in (ii)

             6*6-5y = 11

=>                 5y = 36-11

=>                  5y = 25

                       y = 25/5 = 5

Therefore, x = 6 and y = 5.                      ANS.
