Solve for x and y using substation method: 3x + y = 7 and 4x + 3y = 11.​

GIVEN THAT:-

3x+y=7 ----(1)

4x+3y=11 ---(2)

from equation (1),we have

3x+y=7

y=7-3x ----'(3)

Now,Putting value of y=7-3x in equation (2),we get

4x+3×(7-3x)=11

4x+21-9x=11

-5x+21=11

-5x=-10

x=2

now,putting x=2in equation (3)

y=7-3×(2)

y=7-6

y=1
