Answer:

1+2=3

1/2= 0.5

0.5-1= -0.5

0.5/3= 0.16

0.16-1=0.84 answer

Step-by-step explanation:

3-1 = 2

1/3=0.33

0.33+1= 1.33

1.33/2=0.665

0.665+1= 1.665 answer

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

ok dear.

this is a very easy question

this will obviously lead to a simultaneous equation

let ....x+1/2+y-1/3=9.........equ. 1

         x-1/3+y+1/2=8........equ. 2

lets focus on the first equ. (equ. stands for equation). The 1st equation will lead to this

x+y+1/2-1/3=9

x+y+1/6=9

(now to clear that fraction, we are gonna multiply both side by 6) and this will lead to

6x+6y+1=54

6x+6y=53 .......equ.3

now lets focus on the second equ.

x-y-1/3+1/2=8

x-y+1/6=8

[multiply through by 6 to clear the fraction]

6x-6y+1=48

6x-6y=47...............equ.4

now we are gonna use equ. 3 and 4 to get our values for x and y. so lets bring them together

6x+6y=53

6x-6y=47

(you can choose to solve for x or y first but i'd love to go with x first)

the best mthd. to use for this is substitution mthd.

so let sub. equ 1 into equ 2

for equ 1

x= 53-6y/6 (sub this into equ2.)

6(53-6y/6)-6y=47 {6 cancles out)

53-6y-6y=47

53-12y=47

-12y=47-53

-12y=-6

therefore y=-6/-12

the answer will be

y=1/2

Now, substitute this answer for y into any of the equations to get your x.

I will use equation 1.

(substituting y=1/2 into equ. 1)

6x+6(1/2)=53

6x+3=53

6x=50

x=50/6

therfore x= 25/3

therefore, x=25/3 and y=1/2

those are your answers

You can find out if these answers are correct if you substitute x and y into the question given to you.
