x-y = 3

x=y+3

3(y+3)-2y=10

3y+9-2y=10

y=10-9=1

now put value of y in any equation and u will get answer.

[1] x - y = 3

[2] 3x - 2y = 10

y + x = 3 -2y + 3x = 10

Solve by Substitution :

// Solve equation [1] for the variable x

[1] x = y + 3

// Plug this in for variable x in equation [2]

[2] 3•(y +3) - 2y = 10

[2] y = 1

// Solve equation [2] for the variable y

[2] y = 1

// By now we know this much :

x = y+3

y = 1

// Use the y value to solve for x

x = (1)+3 = 4
