 \frac{1}{x - 1}  +  \frac{2}{x + 2}  =  \frac{4}{x + 4}  \\  \\ \implies \frac{x + 2 + 2(x - 1)}{(x - 1)(x + 2)}  =  \frac{4}{x + 4}  \\  \\  \implies \frac{x + 2 + 2x - 2}{ {x}^{2}  + 2x - x - 2}  =  \frac{4}{x + 4}  \\  \\  \implies \frac{3x}{ {x}^{2}  + x - 2 }  =  \frac{4}{x + 4}  \\  \\  \implies3x(x +4) = 4( {x}^{2}  + x - 2) \\  \\  \implies3 {x}^{2}  + 12x = 4 {x}^{2}  + 4x - 8 \\  \\  \implies4 {x}^{2}  + 4x - 8 - 3 {x}^{2}  - 12x = 0 \\  \\  \implies {x}^{2}  - 8x - 8 = 0 \\
