9x^2-3(a^2+b^2)x+a^2b^2=0

=9x^2-3a^2x-3b^2x+a^2 b^2=0

=3x(3x-a^2)-b^2(3x-a^2)=0

=(3x-b^2)(3x-a^2)=0

=either:

3x-b^2=0

3x=b^2

x=b^2/3

or:

3x-a^2=0

a^2=3x

x=a^2/3
