Hi ,

We know that ,
***********"***"**************
1 ) ln x + ln y = ln xy

2 ) n ln a = ln a^n

**************************

According to the problem given,

ln (x- 1 ) + ln ( 2x - 1 ) = 2 ln ( x + 1 )

ln ( x - 1 ) ( 2x - 1 ) = ln ( x + 1 )²

ln ( 2x² - 3x + 1 ) = ln ( x² + 2x + 1 )

Therefore

2x² -3x + 1 = x² + 2x + 1

2x² - 3x + 1 - x² - 2x - 1 = 0

x² - 5x = 0

x ( x - 5 ) = 0

x = 0 or x- 5 = 0

x= 0 or x = 5

I hope this helps you
