Answer:

x+y=8

x=8-y-------eq1.

x-y=6

x=6+y--------eq2.

on solving eq1 and eq2 we get,

8-y=6+y

-y-y=6-8

-2y=-2

y=-2/-2

y=1

then,x=6+y

=6+1

=7

now x=7 and y=1

x^2-y^2=7^2-1^2

=49-1

=48 ans

Answer:

Value of x² - y² is 48 when x + y is 8 and x - y is 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

(x + y) = 8

(x - y) = 6

Required to find,

x² - y²

Process,

We know that,

x² - y²

= (x + y)(x - y)

= 8 × 6

= 48

Ans:- Value of x² - y² is 48 when x + y is 8 and x - y is 6
