y -  \frac{y-1}{2} = 1 -  \frac{y-2}{3}

 \frac{2y - y +1}{2} =  \frac{3-y+2}{3}

 \frac{y+1 }{2} =  \frac{5-y}{3}

Cross multiply,

3y + 3 = 10 - 2y

5y = 7

y = 7/5

Hey friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

y -  \frac{y-1}{2} = 1 -  \frac{y-2}{3}

⇒  \frac{2y - y +1}{2} =  \frac{3-y+2 }{3}

⇒  \frac{y+1}{2} =  \frac{5-y}{3}

Now, Do cross multiplication.

Then,

3y + 3 = 10 - 2y

⇒ 3y+2y = 10 - 3

⇒ 5y = 7

⇒ y =  \frac{7}{5}

Therefore value of y is 7 by 5.
