x + 3y = 6 \\ 2x - 3y = 12 \\ \\ x = 6 - 3y \\ then \\ value \: of \: y = 2(6 - 3y) - 3y = 12 \\ 12 - 6y - 3y = 12 \\ 12 - 9y = 12 \\ 12 - 12 = 9y \\ 0 = 9y \\ y = \frac{0}{9} = 0 \\ \\ \\ hence \\ value \: of \: x = 6 - 3(0) = 6 - 0 = 6

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x+3y=6 ----- eq 1

2x-3y=12----eq 2

equation -1 :                                  equation-2 :

1x-3y-6=0                                        2x-3y-12=0

comparing with a1x+ b1y+ c1 with equation 1 & a2x+b2y+ c2 with equation 2

Therefore after comparing it is proved that, a1/a2 =c1/c2, and a1/a2 ≠b1/b2......

hence it is a consistent unique solution.......

hope this helps you
