multiply eq (1)by 2 and (2) by 3

6x-2y=14. (3)

6x+15y= -3. (4)

sub eq. 3 and 4

6x and 6x are eliminated

15y+2y = -3-14

17y= -17

y= -1.

put this value in eq 3

6x -2× -1. =14

6x+2=14

6x= 12

x=2
