HI MATE

CORRECT QUESTION :

X+y=5 ; x-y=3 Solve the simultaneous equation graphically.

Final answer : x = 4 , y = 1

Steps:

1) We will make graph of above two given lines and find their point of intersection.

2) To make graph of these lines, we require at least two points on each line.

In x + y = 5,

When x = 0, then y = 5

When y=0 ,then x = 5

We will join these two points to get graph of line.

In x-y =3 ,

When x = 0 , then y = -3

When y = 0, x = 3

Hence, we will join these two points to get graph of line.

3) The point of intersection of these lines will give solution of given two simultaneous equations

On looking at graph, point of intersection is

x = 4 , y = 1

Hence, our result is x = 4,y =1

Hope it helps you mate.
